Based at: Apple Aviation Hangar Facility, Newquay Airport, Cornwall.

Job Purpose:

 

 

A growing Aerospace Services company have an opportunity for an experienced and dependable Aircraft Stores Person as part of the Engineering Team.  Reporting to an Account Manager this role would suit a candidate who has meticulous attention to detail, is both methodical and accurate. A positive, proactive attitude with good IT and interpersonal / teamworking skills are required.  Your reliability, flexibility and self-motivation is essential to the team, ideally you will be close to Newquay Airport to support any out of hours’ requirement.

The Role:

Managing Tooling, Parts and equipment within an aerospace maintenance environment.

l  The successful individual would be expected to have knowledge of Tooling, Parts and knowledge of computer systems/databases.

l  The individual should be organised, and understand MS Office based systems.

l  Candidates will be able to demonstrate an awareness of EASA Part 145 standards and Department for Transport regulations.

l  A full driving licence is mandatory and Forklift truck experience, Hazards Goods Certification is desirable.

In the position, you would be expected to undertake the following:

l  Receipt and despatch of Tooling and Parts / Consumables

l  Coordination and completion of logistics and equipment movements with Engineering

l  Book in and out tooling and Parts / Consumables on database systems

l  Control of Scrap and Quarantine, shelf life, calibration across the Operation and within Stores system

l  Knowledge of tooling and GSE

l  Be able to identify when tooling is damaged or requires a repair

l  Ability to complete simple minor repairs to certain tools or to have knowledge of when it can't be repaired and oversight of supplier maintenance

l  Liaise with suppliers and Engineering to order new tooling

l  Liaise with Engineering to advise of shortages or issues

l  Perform Routine stock checks

l  Supporting equipment at Line Stations and notifying Line Stations on calibration due dates

l  Support Internal and external audit

l  Chase up missing tools or bailed tooling with Engineers or Suppliers

 

 

Salary:  starting from £20,000 - Per Annum (48 hours per week)

Job Purpose: A growing Aerospace Services company have an opportunity for an Engineering Account Manager to join its Engineering Team focussed in delivering Aircraft and Engine related Services to its growing Customer base.  Reporting to the Head of Line and Base this role would suit a candidate with prior aircraft / engine mechanic experience.

Prime accountability is to ensure Services (Line Stations / Adhoc aircraft and engine services/projects) are managed and fully meet Customers’ expectations.  Development of work schedules, day to day operations and plans, their control, monitoring and management of Engineers to a successful Service conclusion.

Duties include assisting the Head of Line and Base Maintenance and Commercial departments to initially establish capability and resources required to form new Line Stations. This is a challenging and rewarding role for the right candidate, working in a close-knit professional and aspirational team.

All Services delivered by Apple Aviation throughout their designated Line and Base Maintenance Stations, and field (remote) locations, are taken with the objective to achieve the highest possible standard of technical reliability and On Time Performance for its Customers.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Project planning, control estimation and Engineers management;

 l  Manage all aspects of a Customer project, including manpower, logistics, equipment and tooling, dealing and negotiating with supplier’s, project expenses, ensuring projects are SMART;

 l  Provide timely and accurate estimations for Scheduled and Unscheduled Customer Work requests, including evaluation of man-hours, resources, and all attributable costs;

 l  Planning and control of Projects in accordance and compliant to maintenance technical data and Airworthiness regulatory requirements;

 l  Assist with the evaluation and setting up of resources for the development of new Customer bases and line stations;

 l  Manage Line Station activities to maintain On-Time Performance to Customer;

 l  Problem solving and awareness of repetitive defects to help mitigate Engineering costs.

 Communications;

 l  Maintain effective Customer relations;

 l  Maintain effective and influential internal communications with Apple Aviation maintenance personnel, Engineering, Commercial and Finance Accounts.

 

 Ideal candidate requirement will have;

 l  Experience in a planning and Maintenance Control desirable, or have maintained civil aircraft types practical experience. Mechanic / Engineer;

 l  Working knowledge of OEM’s aircraft/component maintenance planning document (MPD) and Operators aircraft maintenance schedule or program (AMS, AMP);

 l  Familiarisation with EASA Part 145 and Part M requirements, Awareness of Human Factors (HF), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS), Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) and Critical Design Configuration Control Limitations (CDCCL);

 l  Apprenticeship aerospace background, with ONC / HNC mechanical and production engineering desirable;

 l  Good Knowledge of Aircraft AMM and maintenance manual procedures;

 l  Good working knowledge of IT and MS Office applications;

 l  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

 l  Flexible, with the ability to work well under pressure;

 l  Willingness to work outside normal working hours will be necessary;

 l  Travel overseas and UK locations at short notice;

 l  Proactive, self-motivated, sound judgement and decision making with attention to detail;

 l  Good time management skills;

 l  Eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom (UK).

 

Salary: from £32000+ per Annum based on experience.

A positive, proactive attitude with excellent IT and interpersonal skills is a pre-requisite.  Your reliability is essential to the team. You will be able to work to strict deadlines and prioritise your own workload.

The Role:

l  Communicating with Customers, Apple Aviation Employees and its Suppliers.

l  Arranging Apple Aviation Engineers travel and accommodation.

l  Processing Part, Expendable and Consumable requirements.

l  Collation of task cost information and close-out of tasks.

l  Dealing with enquiries and all aspects of Customer Service.

l  Processing Logistics and Supplier orders.

l  Organising meetings and generating closure minutes, following up on actions.

l  Responsible for Customer Surveys and survey feedback.

l  General duties and filing of records.

l  Co-ordinating any IT requirements for Engineering Group.

l  Co-ordinating any specialist Engineering requirement.

l  Able to work as part of a team and be able to follow instructions and process.

l  Maintaining procedures/engineering administrative systems.
