Line maintenance is critical for running Airline operations with regularity and punctuality.

Apple Aviation Partner with Boeing GoldCare

Apple Aviation is delighted to announce a strategic partnership with Boeing in support of the Boeing GoldCare programme for the Boeing 737MAX and Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

Apple Aviation is now part of a select group of companies world-wide participating in the global OEM program. As a Tier 1 partner in Boeing GoldCare, Apple Aviation will provide future line and base maintenance, plus AOG service support under its EASA/FAA 145 authorisation to Boeing 737MAX and 787 Customers.

LICENSED ENGINEERS, MECHANICS AND PLANNERS

LICENSED AIRCRAFT ENGINEERS, MECHANICS AND PLANNERS REQUIRED

Apple Aviation Group are looking for skilled personnel for permanent positions based at our Base and Line maintenance MRO, Newquay, Cornwall.

Apple Aviation has won a repetitive five to six-month base maintenance program in NQY supporting a low-cost carrier A320 fleet, during the winter period Nov – Apr. The four-day inputs should allow a 4 on 4 off or similar shift pattern to be worked.

The positions will involve working shifts as required by the operation and could also offer travel away from NQY main base to support customers such as Airbus, Bombardier, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, TAG, Flybe, Fedex and VIP operations.

Support is also provided to an engine manufacturer OEM throughout the UK and worldwide for on and off wing support.

Training can be provided if required.

Positions available are B1, B2, C Engineers, airframe/engine and avionic mechanics, along with sheet metal workers, planners and stores personnel.

Experience and type ratings on some of the following aircraft types is preferred but not essential: Airbus and Boeing types, Bombardier Q400 and Embraer 170/190.

Quality Engineer, Frodsham, Cheshire

Role and Responsibilities

The role will be to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, company procedures and safety policies. You will ensure that the planned and ad hoc maintenance activity supports both regulatory standards and company procedures.

We are looking for someone who has extensive knowledge in the following:

  • Ensure full compliance with existing Part 145 and national regulations and remain continually aware of any changes to regulations
  • Assist the Quality Manager with production and implementation of the Part 145 audit program
  • Carry out Quality audits as prescribed by the Quality Manager to ensure timely execution of the Part 145 audit programme and that all aspects of maintenance activities, including subcontracted services, are audited against the relevant regulations to ensure compliance
  • Carry out unannounced Quality audits at any of the organisation’s approved Maintenance locations as and when requested by the Accountable Manager, Maintenance Manager or Quality Manager
  • Report any findings or concerns to the Quality Manager and directors within the organisation
  • Ensure the adequate and appropriate closure of audit findings with respect to root cause analysis, corrective and preventative actions
  • Assist the Quality Manager with the management of the Part 145 certifying staff authorisation system

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

·         Detailed knowledge of EASA Part 145 and its practical application
·         Received formal aviation engineering training
·         Received appropriate training in Human Factors (HF), Fuel Tank Safety (FTS) and Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS)
·         Previous auditor experience in an aviation
·         Eligible to qualify for and hold UK airside security passes, as per DFT regulations. 
·         Previous experience within aircraft maintenance
·         Understanding of the engineering authorisation process
·         Proficient IT skills in particular Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Powerpoint).

 

This full-time role will be based at our Head Office in Cheshire, and will be 40 hours per week. 

The role will require occasional travel within UK and abroad between Line stations and engineering projects for scheduled and product audits 

 

B1 licensed engineer with Embraer 135/145

to be based at Chester / Hawarden (CEG).

Apple Aviation are inviting applications for a B1 licensed engineer with Embraer 135/145 to be based at Chester / Hawarden (CEG).

Duties Include:

·        Maintenance and aircraft preparation of customer aircraft

·        Routine maintenance checks

·        Line Maintenance Operational Activities

·        Processes and Procedures - Implement Company policy and procedures in order to ensure smooth running, compliance and development of the station

 

Requirements:

·        Ability to live and work in the UK or EU

·        EASA Part 66 licence endorsed with Embraer 135/145

·        Embraer 135/145 recency

·        Line experience

·        Must have full UK or EU driving licence

·        Flexible working attitude in a fast changing environment
